How the Emergency Department Works
Patients are assessed using a triage system, where care is prioritized based on medical urgency rather than arrival time.
Green Zone
Minor illness and injury. Non-urgent cases.
Yellow Zone
Urgent conditions requiring assessment and treatment.
Orange Zone
Serious conditions requiring close monitoring and intervention.
Red Zone
Critical and life-threatening conditions requiring immediate care.

Patients may arrive at the Emergency Department through the following ways:
By Ambulance
Emergency ambulance services can bring patients directly to the Emergency Department. Call 122 for emergency dispatch.
Direct to Emergency Department
Patients and families may walk directly into the Emergency Department located on the Ground Floor of the hospital.
Intensive & Critical Care
Patients requiring advanced monitoring or life-support interventions may be admitted to specialized critical care units.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
16 ICU BedsProvides specialized care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring, advanced life support, and multidisciplinary management. Typical admissions include severe trauma, major surgical complications, neurological emergencies, severe infections, and respiratory failure.
Respiratory Care Unit (RCU)
11 RCU BedsProvides specialized care for patients requiring advanced respiratory monitoring and support, including those with respiratory failure and conditions requiring ventilatory assistance.
